I was crowned Miss Petite Saskatchewan 2020 / 21 and later went on to win the national title of Miss Canada Petite 2020 / 21. Competing in the Miss Canada Globe Productions Pageant system and winning honorary titles such as Petite Bikini 2020 / 21, Miss Petite Mahistrado 2020 / 21, Eco Queen Petite 2020 / 21, Petite Social Media 2020 / 21, Petite Physique 2020 / 21, and Petite Elegance 2020 / 21. I am an advocator for Mental Health Awareness, having lived and struggled with the stigmas of living with both Borderline Personality Disorder and Social Anxiety. I hope to spread more compassion and understanding for the struggles of living with any mental illness.

What has got me here today is the determination to succeed and the will to make it happen. I was the fourth born in a family of five. I grew up in a small town called Whitewood, Saskatchewan, and later moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where I currently reside. I remember my dad being a cook and working eight hours a day sometimes up to six days a week to just get by. While my mom stayed at home and took care of us. I saw my mother struggle every day with mental health and it produced an unhealthy environment for children to live under. Going to school, I was bullied by my peers for how much money I had. 

It was a really bad situation, but it has allowed me to grow up with the skills and knowledge to build a blessed life for myself. I had to step away from my family because of the stigmas they had about my mental health. I decided that I wanted to create awareness for people just like me living with a mental illness. It can be so hard to navigate even just the environment of loving someone who struggles with mental illness.

Competing in pageants was never something I saw myself doing but I heard stories of what pageants do for girls just like me. I had to see what the fuss was all about, and competing in Miss Canada Petite has been a blessing for me. But also winning and getting the opportunity to inspire people who do live with mental illnesses to be able to succeed just like I did.

I do not think my winning the title of Miss Canada Petite 2020/21 was a fluke of any kind. I think that when you apply yourself to whatever your goal or dreams are, you do achieve your goals. Even just applying yourself to whatever you have going on at that moment. You can succeed and grow as an individual, no matter what that success looks like.
