Marrakech, also known as Marrakech, is the fourth-largest city in the Kingdom of Morocco. It is one the four Imperial Cities of Morocco, and the capital of Marrakesh Safi. It is located west of the Atlas Mountains.

Marrakesh lies 580 km (360 miles) southwest Tangier, 327km (203 mi) southwest Rabat, the Moroccan capital, and is 239 km south of Casablanca. 246km (153 mi), northeast Agadir.

Marrakesh can be found 580km (360 mi) west of Tangier, 327km (203 mi) southwest from Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, and 239 km (149 mi). Agadir is 246 km (153 miles) northeast.

Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city. It is located in central-western Morocco’s Chaouia Plain, on the Atlantic coast. Casablanca also has the main port of Morocco, which is one of the most important financial centres in Africa. 

The 2019 population estimate for Casablanca shows that the city is home to 3.71 million people in the urban area, and 4.27 million in Greater Casablanca. Rabat is the capital and Casablanca is the economic and commercial centre of Morocco.

Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is also the seventh-largest city in the country. It has an urban population of 580,000 (2014) and a population metropolitan of more than 1.2 million. It is also the capital of the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra regional administrative region.

Rabat, located at the mouth of the river Bou Regreg in the Atlantic Ocean, is opposite Sale, the main city commuter.

Meknes, one of the four Imperial Cities of Morocco, is located in northern Morocco. It is the sixth-largest city in the kingdom by population. Meknes was established by the Almoravids in the 11th Century as a military settlement. It became the capital of Morocco during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail (1672-1727), the son of the founder Alaouite Dynasty.

Moulay Ismail built a huge imperial palace complex and gave the city extensive fortifications. According to the 2014 Moroccan census, 632,079 people lived in the city. It is the capital of Meknes Prefecture and an important economic point in the region.
