Brief Story – What Got You Where You Are Today

It was not a success overnight. I was in school for nearly a decade, simultaneously working full-time. I had to sacrifice a lifestyle that many people my age indulged in partying, getting married, having children, and spending time with loved ones. While at the time these felt like sacrifices, in retrospect, I now see that I would not have found the same joy in these activities as I do with entrepreneurship, mental health, and business. I now understand that I am built for ambition, passion, and independence. As a result, I am not only a Doctor and Business Owner who has been recognized in publications including Forbes, Vogue Magazine, and Digital Health Buzz., but I am Ms. Canada United World 2022 and Tedx Speaker. I am a public speaker, published author, Professor, Investor, Philanthropist, and Volunteer.
Overall, my story includes incredible sacrifices, but worth it as I am following my purpose.

Pain is inevitable. You cannot escape it. While it does not feel good, pain is where the lessons live. Your pain is specifically designed for you. Steve Jobs said “you cannot connect the dots looking forward, but you can looking backwards.” In other words, your journey of lessons found in pain will propel you toward your future purpose. Fuel your pain from your past into your future purpose.
