Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Mali, officially known as the Republic of Mali, is a landlocked West African. Mali is Africa’s eighth largest country, with more than 1,240,000 sq km (480,000 sq mi). Bamako is the capital and largest city. The sovereign state of Mali is made up of eight regions. Its borders to the north extend deep into the Sahara Desert. The country’s southern portion is located in the Sudanian Savanna, where most of the population lives. Both the Niger River and the Senegal River pass through. Agriculture and mining are the mainstays of the country’s economy. Mali is home to the world’s third largest producer of gold and one of its most important natural resources, gold. It also exports salt.
The three West African empires controlling trans-Saharan trade were the Mali Empire (Ghana Empire), the Mali Empire, and the Songhai Empire. Today, Mali is a part of the Ghana Empire. The Mali Empire, which spanned an area nearly twice as large as modern-day France, was Africa’s wealthiest country at its height in 1300. It extended to the coast of Africa. Mali was also one of the most wealthy countries on the planet. Its emperor at its peak, Mansa Musa, is believed to have been the richest person in history.
