Port Vila, the capital and biggest city of Vanuatu, is on the island of Efate. It is the commercial and economic center of Vanuatu, is located on the south coast of Efate Island, Shefa Province. Erick Puyo Festa (Vanua’aku Pati) is the mayor. Jenny Regenvanu (Gruin mo Jastis Pati) is his deputy.

The city’s population was 44,040 at the most recent census in 2009, an increase of 35% over the 1999 census results (29,356 in 1999). Luganville, second in Vanuatu’s largest city after Port Vila, is situated on Espiritu Santo. It has an estimated 18,062 inhabitants as of 2020. Vanuatu’s northern islands consider Luganville their central city. In particular, the indigenous population refers to it as Santo. Espiritu Santo rural residents call it Kanal. Luganville was a prominent American base of operations during World War II.

Boulevard Higginson is the main street through Luganville and contains mainly tourist shops and general stores. The Americans used the Espiritu Santo during WWII. Boulevard Higginson, which runs through Luganville, is unusually wide because a commander at the base insisted that four tanks could drive on the road simultaneously. The port is located at one end of Higginson, one of the island’s main ports.

Lakatoro, the capital of Malampa Province in Vanuatu’s island country is Lakatoro. It is located on the eastern shores of Malakula and is the most significant settlement on the island. Lakatoro is home to a few retail shops, a grocery, and a local marketplace selling locally grown goods.

Norsup Airport serves the town. Weekly shipping service is available from Port Vila to Litzlitz and Luganville.

Isangel can be described as a town in Vanuatu. It is located on Tanna Island and serves as the provincial administrative capital for Tafea Province.

There are approximately 1,200 residents in the town. Most of them are Melanesians. The major languages spoken in the area include Lenakel and Bislama.

Sola is the capital of Torba Province, Vanuatu. It can be found on Vanua Lava’s island.

Mount Suretamate is located near Sola. To the north, the villages are bounded by the Alket and Selva rivers. Fauna includes the saltwater crocodiles, introduced by Steve Irwin, and an invasive species called the fire ant.
