Bosnia and Herzegovina
Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Bosnia and Herzegovina, also known as Bosnia-Herzegovina and sometimes referred to informally simply as Bosnia, is a country located in the Balkans at the crossroads between south and southeast Europe. The Capital of the city is Sarajevo, and it’s also the largest city. The country’s geography is mostly flat in the northeast and central regions. Bosnia and Herzegovina border Serbia in the east, Montenegro in the southeast, and Croatia in the north and northwest. It is not entirely landlocked. To the south, there is a narrow coastline on the Adriatic Sea in the Mediterranean, about 20 km (12 miles). This coast surrounds Neum. Bosnia, the inland region of the country, enjoys a mild continental climate with hot summers and cold winters.
Bosnia and Herzegovina have been home to humans living in the area since the Upper Paleolithic. However, evidence suggests that permanent human settlements were established during the Neolithic age. These included those belonging to the Vucedol, Kakanj, and Butmir cultures. Many Illyrian and Celtic cultures settled in the area after the arrival of the Indo-Europeans. The country’s rich history is both culturally and politically.
