Chania, a city in Greece, is the capital of the Chania region. It is located on the west coast of Crete at 70 km (43 miles) west of Rethymno and 145km (90 mi) east of Heraklion.

There are 108,642 residents in the municipality. It consists of Chania, the city, and several surrounding areas, such as Kounoupidiana (pop. 5,531), Daratsos (pop. 4,732), Perivolia, and Galatas.

Ioannina, the capital and the largest city of the Ioannina region unit, and Epirus are administrative regions in north-western Greece.

According to the 2011 census, the city’s population was 65,574, and the municipality had 112,486 residents. It is located approximately 500m above sea level on the western shores of Lake Pamvotis. Ioannina can be found 410km northwest of Athens and 260 km (162 miles) southwest of Thessaloniki. It is 80 km east of the port of Igoumenitsa, in the Ionian Sea.
