Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Oman is a country located in Western Asia. It lies on the Arabian Peninsula’s southeastern coast and spans the mouth of the Persian Gulf. Oman shares land and maritime borders with Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. The Arabian Sea to the southeast and the Gulf of Oman to the northeast from the coast. The United Arab Emirates surrounds the Madha and Musandam exclaves on their land borders. Musandam’s coastline boundaries are formed by the Strait of Hormuz, which it shares with Iran, and the Gulf of Oman. Muscat, the capital of the country and its largest city, is also its capital.
The Omani Sultanate, an empire that fought with the British and Portuguese for influence over the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, existed since the 17th century. The Omani Sultanate’s influence or control grew to its zenith in the 19th century. Its reach extended from the Strait of Hormuz, modern-day Iran, and Pakistan, and even as far south as Zanzibar. The United Kingdom influenced the Omani sultanate when its power declined in the 20th century. The relations between the empires have been based on mutual benefits for over 300 years.
