Mexico City is Mexico’s capital and largest city. It is also the most populous in North America. It is one of 32 federal entities of Mexico. Mexico City is one of the world’s most important financial and cultural centers.

It is situated at 2,240m (7,350 feet) elevation in the Valley of Mexico (Valle de Mexico), a large valley on the central plateau of Mexico. There are 16 demarcaciones territoriales in the city, also known as alcaldias (or boroughs) or subdivisions.

Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco state in Mexico, is a metropolitan area in western Mexico. The 2020 census shows that the city has 1,385,629 inhabitants and the Guadalajara metropolitan region has 5,268,642 – making this the third-largest metro area in the country.

Guadalajara is home to the second-highest population density in Mexico, with more than 10,361 inhabitants per square kilometer. Guadalajara has been described as an international hub for finance, arts, and culture. It is also the economic center in the Bajio region of Latin America, one of the most developed and productive regions.

Monterrey, Mexico’s capital and largest city, is located in the northeastern state of Nuevo Leon. The town is situated at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental. It anchors the Monterrey Metropolitan Area, which had a GDP (PPP) of US$140 Billion in 2015. It also boasts the second-largest metro area in Mexico, with an estimated population of 5,341,171 as of 2020.

The city has 1,142,194 residents, according to the 2020 census. Monterrey is a livable city in Mexico. A 2018 study revealed that San Pedro Garza Garcia was Mexico’s area with the highest quality of life. It is the commercial hub of northern Mexico and home to many critical international corporations. It is a Beta World City. It is rich in culture and history, making it one of the most progressive cities in Mexico.

Cancun, located in southeast Mexico, is on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is part of the Mexican state Quintana Roo. It is the capital of Benito Juarez, Mexico’s most important tourist destination. It is located on the Caribbean Sea and is Mexico’s easternmost point. Cancun lies north of Mexico’s Caribbean Coast resort area, known as the Riviera Maya.

Ciudad Juarez, the largest city in Chihuahua’s Mexican state, is home to most of the population. It is often referred to by the name Juarez. It was previously known as El Paso del Norte, or “The Pass of the North,” until 1888. Juarez, home to the Juarez Municipality, is home to 1.5 million people. It is located south of El Paso in Texas on the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo del Norte).

El Paso-Juarez is the second-largest binational metropolitan region in Mexico-USA. It includes the surrounding cities—border, which has a combined population exceeding 2.7 million.
