Wales
Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Wales is part of the United Kingdom. It borders England to the east and the Irish Sea to its north, south, and west. To its south, it is bordered by the Bristol Channel. Wales has a coastline that extends to more than 20779 km2. It is predominantly mountainous, with its highest peaks in the northern and central regions. It is situated in the north temperate zone, with a changing maritime environment.
After the Roman withdrawal in the 5th century B.C., the Britons discovered Welsh national identity. Wales is considered one of the modern Celtic countries. Llywelyn, ap Gruffudd’s 1282 death marked the end of Edward I’s conquest of Wales. However, Owain Glyndwr briefly restored Wales’ independence in the early 15th century. England annexed Wales and integrated it into the English legal system through the Laws in Wales Acts 15035 and 1542. In the 19th century, distinct Welsh politics emerged. The growth of socialism, and the Labour Party, saw the end of Welsh Liberalism, as exemplified by David Lloyd George in the early 20th century.
