Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Austria, officially known as the Republic of Austria, is a landlocked country located south of Central Europe on the Eastern Alps. It comprises nine federated countries, of which Vienna is the capital and largest. Austria borders Germany to its northwest, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to its northeast, Hungary, and Slovakia to the east, Slovenia, Italy, Slovenia, Liechtenstein, and Hungary to the south. Austria covers 32,386 miles (283,879km2) in the area and is home to more than 9 million people. Although Austrian German is the country’s official language, many Austrians speak informal languages in Bavarian.
Austria was founded as a margraviate in 976. It later became a duchy or archduchy. Austria was established in the 16th century as the center of the Habsburg Monarchy. It also served as the junior branch of the House of Habsburg, one of history’s most powerful royal dynasties. It was an archduchy and a vital component of the Holy Roman Empire’s administrative center. Austria built its empire in the early 19th century. It was a mighty power and the leader of the German Confederation. However, it continued its independent course from the other German states after its defeat in 1866 in the Austro-Prussian War. The Austria-Hungary Dual Monarchy, created in compromise with Hungary, was established in 1867.
