The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) at Sharina World Foundation provides crucial support to low-income taxpayers who are facing disputes with the IRS. Our LITC offers free representation for individuals dealing with audits, appeals, and collection matters, ensuring that they have access to fair representation and justice. Additionally, we provide education about taxpayer rights and responsibilities, empowering individuals to navigate the tax system with confidence.
Tax disputes can be incredibly stressful and intimidating, especially for those who lack the resources to hire professional representation. Our LITC aims to level the playing field by offering expert assistance to those who need it most. Our volunteers and staff are trained to handle a wide range of tax issues, from simple disputes to complex cases, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support.

We conducted the Taxpayer Rights Education project, which included educational seminars and direct representation for low-income taxpayers. We educated 200 individuals about their rights and successfully represented 50 clients in resolving their tax issues. This project not only provided immediate relief to those facing tax disputes but also empowered participants with the knowledge to avoid future issues
