Serbia
Remove The Limitations And Barriers
Serbia is a country located in southeast Europe. It lies at the crossroads between the Pannonian Plain and the Balkans. It borders Hungary to its north, Romania to its northeast, Bulgaria to its southeast, North Macedonia to the south, Bosnia, Croatia, and Herzegovina to the west, and Montenegro to the southwest. Serbia also claims a border with Albania via the disputed territory Kosovo. Serbia is home to almost 7 million people, Belgrade being its capital and the largest city.
The territory of modern-day Serbia has been continuously inhabited since the Paleolithic Age. However, it was subject to Slavic migrations during the 6th century. These forced the establishment of several states in the Early Middle Ages, sometimes recognized as tributaries of the Byzantine and Frankish kingdoms. In 1217, the Holy See and Constantinople recognized the Serbian Kingdom. It reached its peak in 1346 when it was renamed the Serbian Empire.
