Havana is the largest city and the in Cuba. The heart of the La Habana province, Havana is the country’s main port and leading commercial center. The city has a population of 2.1 million inhabitants, and it spans a total of 781.58 km2 (301.77 sq mi) – making it the largest city by area, the most populous city, and the fourth largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean region.

The Spanish founded the city of Havana in the 16th century; it served as a springboard for the Spanish conquest of the Americas, becoming a stopping point for Spanish galleons returning to Spain. For the protection of the city, forts and walls were built. Havana was named the capital by Philip II of Spain in 1592.

Santiago de Cuba is the second-largest city in Cuba and the capital city of Santiago de Cuba Province. It lies in the southeastern area of the island, some 870 km (540 mi) southeast of the Cuban capital of Havana.
The municipality extends over 1,023.8 square kilometers (395.3 sq mi). It contains the communities of Antonio Maceo, Bravo, Castillo Duany, Daiquirí, El Caney, El Cobre, El Cristo, Guilera, Leyte Vidal, Moncada, and Siboney.

Cuba City is located in both Grant County and Lafayette County in Wisconsin. The nickname for the city is “The City of Presidents” due to the number of presidential banners along Main Street. According to the 2010 census, 2,086 people lived in Cuba City. There were 1,877 in Grant County, while 209 were in Lafayette County.

Santa Clara, the capital of Villa Clara in Cuba, is Santa Clara. It is centrally situated in the region and Cuba. Santa Clara, home to nearly 250,000 people, is Cuba’s fifth most populous city.

Camagüey is a city and municipality in central Cuba and is the nation’s third-largest city with more than 321,000 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Camagüey Province.

It was founded as Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe in 1514 by Spanish colonists on the northern coast and moved inland in 1528, to the site of a Taino village named Camagüey. It was one of the seven original settlements (villas) founded in Cuba by the Spanish. After Henry Morgan burned the city in the 17th century, it was redesigned like a maze so attackers would find it hard to move around inside the city.
