Santiago de Cuba is the second-largest city in Cuba and the capital city of Santiago de Cuba Province. It lies in the southeastern area of the island, some 870 km (540 mi) southeast of the Cuban capital of Havana.
The municipality extends over 1,023.8 square kilometers (395.3 sq mi). It contains the communities of Antonio Maceo, Bravo, Castillo Duany, DaiquirÃ, El Caney, El Cobre, El Cristo, Guilera, Leyte Vidal, Moncada, and Siboney.
Cuba City is located in both Grant County and Lafayette County in Wisconsin. The nickname for the city is “The City of Presidents” due to the number of presidential banners along Main Street. According to the 2010 census, 2,086 people lived in Cuba City. There were 1,877 in Grant County, while 209 were in Lafayette County.

After Henry Morgan burned the city in the 17th century, it was redesigned like a maze so attackers would find it hard to move around inside the city.
